We Are Hiring: Part Time Retail Ambassador

Meowiie Squishy is looking for motivated, responsible and customer-oriented individuals to join our growing retail team. We are passionate about bringing joy to our customers through our unique range of squishies and creating an enjoyable shopping experience for visitors of all ages.

As a Retail Ambassador, you will play an important role in our day-to-day store operations, from assisting customers and introducing our products to maintaining an organised showroom and supporting sales activities. We welcome individuals who are proactive, eager to learn and committed to delivering excellent customer service.

Job Responsibilities

  • Welcome customers and provide attentive, professional service throughout their shopping experience
    Introduce customers to our squishy collections, explain product features and recommend suitable products based on their interests and preferences.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of product launches, new arrivals, promotions and store announcements.
  • Operate the point-of-sale (POS) system, process transactions accurately and ensure purchases are packed properly.
  • Maintain the cleanliness, organisation and overall presentation of the showroom, including product displays and testing samples.
  • Assist with visual merchandising, product arrangement and stock replenishment to ensure products are displayed neatly and attractively.
  • Receive incoming stock, organise inventory and assist with stock counts and other inventory-related tasks.
  • Respond to customer enquiries and feedback professionally, escalating issues when necessary.
  • Support daily store operations and work closely with team members to ensure smooth and efficient store management.

Job Requirements

  • Must be at least 19 years old.
  • Possess a positive attitude and strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Enjoy interacting with customers and be comfortable initiating conversations and providing product recommendations.
  • Demonstrate a genuine interest in squishies, collectibles, toys or the retail industry.
  • Be responsible, punctual, organised and attentive to detail.
  • Able to work independently, take initiative and complete assigned tasks with minimal supervision.
  • Work well in a team and maintain a professional and respectful attitude towards colleagues and customers.
  • Able to manage multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced retail environment.
  • Willing to learn and adapt to changing operational needs.
  • Previous retail or customer service experience is an advantage but not compulsory, as training will be provided.
  • Part-Time Position
  • Minimum commitment of 3 days per week.
  • Must be available to work at least  two weekdays and one weekend day and public holidays when scheduled.
  • Must be comfortable working opening and closing shifts according to the roster.
  • Minimum commitment of 6 months.
  • Remuneration is calculated on an hourly basis.
